BIO: Marie DesJardin has been writing professionally about science and technology for thirty years. She has published one science fiction novel, *For the Time Being*, and has several other novels lying about, awaiting publication or a quiet death due to disinterest. She lives in Denver, Colorado, and often escapes into the mountains for rejuvenation and just plain celebrating life.
